Distraction by Economic Disaster

This is a warning that has been trumpeted for years.  We have a debt problem that is no longer capable of being fixed.   Margaret Thatcher once said, “The problem with socialism is you eventually run out of other people’s money!”   We saw what happened in Greece and their debt problems are much less than ours; however, they did not just bail out banks and give 29 TRILLION dollars to them.  We cannot keep up this false debt system any longer, and what will happen when the programs that are bankrupting our country, the wars that are bankrupting us and the selling out of American jobs to cheap foreign labor reaches it’s peak?   The complete crash of the system has been designed and planned for and both parties running this country have created this mess.  We elected them or allowed them to be elected via fraudulent means and we can ultimately look in the mirror.  Sadly, it is in these desperate circumstances where people are suffering and scared that massive change can happen, and that was the goal all along.   Create the crisis to bring about the change!  Just remember, we were warned of this beast system, and in that moment of fear will you worship this new system?  Will you cry peace and safety only to find you have fallen into a trap?  I hope not.

  1. I believe it can be fixed. Firstly the politicians need to take a pay cut to show they are serious about fixing the problem. Secondly the people on the low incomes or social security need an increase so they can afford to buy what they need and by them buying what they need will increase production which will increase jobs which will increase tax intake. Also the business people need to stop their tax avoidance and pay their share. As Yahweh says he will bless those who bless others and at the moment they (the business people) aren’t blessing anybody but themselves.

Deuteronomy 24:14 | Thou shalt not oppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy gates

    Deuteronomy 24:15.
At his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee.

    Proverbs 22:16.
He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want.

    LUKE
18And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

19And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

20Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

21And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.

22Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

23And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

24And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

25For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

    • I am in partial agreement with you. The part I agree with is we need to stop corporate welfare and massive schemes and loopholes they use to pay zero taxes. That being said, let me ask you a question. Who provides people with jobs? Have you ever gotten a job from a poor person?

If the rich gave all their money away in the example you gave of the rich man and Jesus instructions, then where would jobs come from?

Let me also ask you, do you believe everyone on welfare and social security deserves it or have they found a way to game the system and dont mind living off others? There is another scripture:

2Th 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
2Th 3:11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.
2Th 3:12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread.

I imagine many who claim to not be able to work can, and many who claim they cannot find a job are not hungry. It’s amazing how people can find work once the support is removed.

I know the economy is hard, and I live on little income, but I also do not wish to live in a rich lifestyle. My family has been both poor and rich and I can tell you that money does not buy happiness.

I believe in helping those truly in need. The one who has fallen into hard times, help them get back on their feet. It used to be that when Mr. Jones was hurt and could not work, the families in the neighborhood sacrificed and helped them get through the loss of income. Mrs and Mr. Jones knew these families, they knew they were helping support them, and thus wanted to get back on their feet as quickly as possible.

Now, it’s money from the government and no one seems to notice that it’s coming from other American’s pockets or the Federal Reserve just prints more money and the government sends out checks. Our dollar is collapsing because of our unfunded programs. Social Security is bankrupt. Medicare and Medicaid cost us too much. This system is NOT working and eventually there will be no middle class.

Back to that example of the rich man… Jesus knew his heart. He loved his money and trusted it more than God, and that meant his heart was not single but divided. Jesus knew this and thus told him… HIM….. to give it away to unburden his heart and trust in God alone.

  2. There really shouldn’t be any class. I wonder if your social security is like ours. We have people getting the pension who on top of that are allowed to earn as much as they like and to me that is crazy. The pension should be there for those that have given up their jobs to retire and give the chance to someone unemployed to have a job. We have ex politicians who still get a huge amount of money even though they no longer work as a civil servants, including free air travel until they die then their surviving spouse continues to get the perk. They only have to have served three terms as an MP to get it, which is 9 years service. So many things need to change. What I think also stinks is that when a company is making less profit than the year before they start laying off staff and to me that is the begining of a downward spiral.

    • Our politicians have it made regarding retirement. Not only do they keep it for life, they get every raise congress gets, so for instance, Al Gore’s father retired from the Senate I think back in the 1970’s and yet in the 1990’s he was making 200k from his Senate retirement. There is no other job in America that you increase your retirement at whatever the new people are making for the rest of your life.

People do not create a company in order to create jobs. They create something and because they are successful they need more help creating it. If your profits are down and the costs are the same or higher then you do the math. You have to lay people off to meet the payroll and keep the lights on so you can ride out the economic downturn and hopefully hire them back.

We should not have to tell people to pay a fair wage. Women should make just as much as men do, yet they don’t. We should not have to tell people they need to take a shower, cut their hair and brush their teeth before they go to work, and yet it appears we have to tell people this.

The love of money is the root of all evil, and with the current system of usury, graft, loaning at interest we are doomed and have been since we started it. Politicians should be honored they get to represent us, and they should be limited in their time. There should be zero retirement for them for doing this.

They should not get to exempt themselves from any law and most of ours need to be in prison for lying, cheating, stealing, and coming out of Washington multi-millionaires when they went in not even close to that level of income.
