Teaching sound doctrine and reproving one another is a good thing and the bible exhorts us to refute those who teach heresy and cause damage in the body of Christ. How many deny God because of these hypocrites who line their pockets with the money of poor grandmothers, needy people who are trying to find a blessing? Do you not know that God has an extreme anger against those who put stumbling blocks in the way of people? That anyone who draws souls away from the truth suffers a judgement of God?
I have watched all these people at various times in my life, and I was immediately put off by this name it and claim it or as I say, blab it and grab it prosperity teaching. I do not begrudge supporting our teachers and leaders, but I am against lavish lifestyles and con men / woman pretending to serve God when in reality they are laying a paradise on earth for themselves and their family while millions suffer. Can fresh water come from a salt water? Can you join yourself with unrighteous works because they say a few things that are true?
I am exhorting you who is reading this. I am praying you will at least look at the facts, the truth, and then judge for yourself. Don’t tell me, “You cannot judge”. I am not judging their soul, but we are told to be wise, and to discern good from evil. Discernment is wise judgment! You judge all the time in a good way. When you met your spouse you made a judgment. Was this the person you wanted to join with and build a life with? Why or why not? It was hopefully based their fruit and the knowing you would be equally joined, and not walking separate paths. That is judging my friends. Otherwise, just put people together, marry them, and they should be happy and fruitful right?
So, if you care about truth, if you care about sound doctrine, then please watch:
Kenneth Copeland teaches that our beloved perfect, sinless Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) took on sin nature, became subordinate to Satan for our sake to redeem us. This teaching is a lie and comes from the father of lies:
Jesus took on the nature of Satan
One of the popular word-faith teachings is that Jesus took on the nature of Satan and had to be born again. This doctrine is intrinsically linked to the “Jesus died spiritually” heresy which postulates that Jesus’ shed blood was insufficient for the redemption of man; He had to suffer at Satan’s hands in Hell and be born again as the first man to conquer death. Benny Hinn teaches this heresy: listen to what he said: ‘He [Jesus] who is righteous by choice said, “The only way I can stop sin is by Me becoming it. I can’t just stop it by letting it touch Me; I and it must become one.” Hear this! He who is the nature of God became the nature of Satan where He became sin! (TBN 12/1/90). Kenneth Copeland also teaches that Jesus took on Satan’s nature. Here are his words: “The righteousness of God was made to be sin. He accepted the sin nature of Satan in His own spirit. And at the moment that He did so, He cried, ‘My God, My God, why hast thou forsaken Me?’ You don’t know what happened at the cross. Why do you think Moses, upon instruction of God, raised the serpent upon that pole instead of a lamb? That used to bug me. I said, ‘Why in the world would you want to put a snake up there—the sign of Satan? Why didn’t you put a lamb on that pole?’ And the Lord said, ‘Because it was a sign of Satan that was hanging on the cross.’ He said, ‘I accepted, in My own spirit, spiritual death; and the light was turned off.’” (What Happened from the Cross to the Throne, 1990, audiotape #02-0017, side 2)
The video above has the audio of Copeland saying these things. It has Meyers speaking of the lie that Jesus had to go to hell and be tormented by demons so we would not have to do so. No where in the bible does it say this. You can read her saying all this and other word of faith preachers here.
Joyce Promotes Word Faith Heresy: Jesus Went to Hell
Joyce Meyer, like Kenneth Copeland and other Word Faith teachers, says that Jesus Christ went to hell.
“Whatever it took to get God’s people back, free again, is what they would do. Jesus paid for our sins on the cross and went to hell in our place.” (Whatever it took means that Jesus had to go to hell, suffer and be tormented by demons in our place.) Quote source: (The Most Important Decision You Will Ever Make Page 41, 1996-Edition)
Let Us Reason Ministries quotes from the 1991 edition of Joyce Meyer’s booklet, The Most Important Decision You Will Ever Make:
“There is no hope of anyone going to heaven unless they believe this truth I am presenting. You cannot go to heaven unless you believe with all your heart that Jesus took your place in hell” (In her 1991 booklet, The Most Important Decision You Will Ever Make).
She explains Christ’s atonement: “During that time He entered hell, where you and I deserved to go (legally) because of our sin. He paid the price there … no plan was too extreme … Jesus paid on the cross and in hell” (The Most Important Decision You Will Ever Make 1991 p. 35,). “He went to hell to pay the debt you owed. (p.41 first edition)
“His spirit went to hell because that is where we deserved to go.” (The Most Important Decision You Will Ever Make 1991, p.36.).
Yeshua defeated Satan ON the cross. He crushed the head of Satan with his obedience unto death and he set the captives free in paradise who were not allowed until the coming of Messiah to leave Sheol. This is what Yeshua spoke of in the parable of Lazarus and the rich man. They were separated in death, one (Lazarus) into Sheol and the rich man into Gehenna (Suffering hell). Yeshua walked in there, proclaimed the work was completed and set them free to join him in heaven.
Purge Out the Spiritual Leaven
In view of certain dangerous false teachings that Joyce Meyer promotes in her books, conferences, and/or television program, those who worship God in spirit and in truth must face the truth about spiritual leaven. Glorying in any ministry that contains spiritual leaven is not good:
Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? 1 Cor. 5:6
If you have been sifting through Joyce Meyer’s teachings and trying to filter out the false so you can keep the true teachings you are in spiritual peril. God warned us that a little leaven leavens the whole lump. None of us are so wise that we can willfully disobey the Lord and try to filter the leaven rather than obey his command to purge out the leaven:
Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 1 Cor. 5:7
God is “able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy” (Jude 1: 24). God has the ability to keep you from falling but he will not hold you up if you refuse to stand. God commands Christians to stand fast in the Lord:
Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. Phil. 14:1
You must stand fast in the Lord no matter how hard the winds of false doctrine may blow or how appealingly they are presented. In these latter days when false teachers try to make merchandise of you with feigned words, you must obey God and purge out the leaven. False teachers and doctrines of devils must be purged out of your life if you are to stand fast in the Lord. I understand that the energetic, joyous, bubbly, enthusiastic women teachers that speak encouraging words can make you feel like a spiritually powerful, invincible Christian woman, but beware. This is precisely how false teachers are able to make merchandise of Christians, especially women. They hope that you will honor the way they make you feel about yourself over and above your commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and his doctrine.
Any teacher (no matter how pleasant and endearing he or she may be) who does not hold fast to sound doctrine must be purged out of your life. God is able to keep you from falling. Are you willing to stand fast fast in the Lord? If you are, you will live eternally.
For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. 1 Thess. 3:8
To put the final nail in this subject of if Yeshua when to hell, I found this excellent explanation:
Question: “Did Jesus go to hell between His death and resurrection?”
Answer: There is a great deal of confusion in regards to this question. This concept comes primarily from the Apostles’ Creed, which states, “He descended into hell.” There are also a few Scriptures which, depending on how they are translated, describe Jesus going to “hell.” In studying this issue, it is important to first understand what the Bible teaches about the realm of the dead.
In the Hebrew Scriptures, the word used to describe the realm of the dead is sheol. It simply means the “place of the dead” or the “place of departed souls/spirits.” The New Testament Greek equivalent of sheol is hades which also refers to “the place of the dead.” Other Scriptures in the New Testament indicate that sheol/hades is a temporary place, where souls are kept as they await the final resurrection and judgment. Revelation 20:11-15 gives a clear distinction between the two. Hell (the lake of fire) is the permanent and final place of judgment for the lost. Hades is a temporary place. So, no, Jesus did not go to hell because hell is a future realm, only put into effect after the Great White Throne Judgment (Revelation 20:11-15).
Sheol/hades is a realm with two divisions (Matthew 11:23, 16:18; Luke 10:15, 16:23; Acts 2:27-31), the abodes of the saved and the lost. The abode of the saved was called “paradise” and “Abraham’s bosom.” The abodes of the saved and the lost are separated by a “great chasm” (Luke 16:26). When Jesus ascended to heaven, He took the occupants of paradise (believers) with Him (Ephesians 4:8-10). The lost side of sheol/hades has remained unchanged. All unbelieving dead go there awaiting their final judgment in the future. Did Jesus go to sheol/hades? Yes, according to Ephesians 4:8-10 and 1 Peter 3:18-20.
