This is the best way to start a marriage, and I am sure they made the right choices. The story has gone viral twice, and that says something in itself. We do not see people praying like this often anymore unless you are in church. The bride, Bre Curtis wrote in her blog that, she was running around trying to do those last minute things before getting married when her soon to be mother-in-law came and said,
“Sweetheart, your groom has called for you.”
Filled with nervous excitement and not even wearing her shoes, Bre, 23, was led to the corner where Josh, 24, was waiting.
“Hi sweetie! We’re getting married today!” she recounted saying.
“I know baby and I want to pray with you before we do,” came his reply.
They both sat and, with people continuing to rush around them, bowed their heads.
“My husband prayed that God would bless our marriage, that through thick or thin together we would never lose hope in one another. That instead of focusing on each others imperfections we would always rely on Christ’s perfection. That we would wake up every day and chose to love one another not through our own strength but by the power of Christ’s perfect love,” Bre Curtas wrote.
For the couple, everthing they had longed for and lived for came together then. Faith is a very large part of their relationship, and all their decisions come from a place of Christ first.
